What's been going on since my last entry....

This is a picture of me and Dean Ron Laffitte when I received the Professional Member of the Year Award on Monday June 15, 2009.

It's been over a month since my last entry.

I will try and fill you in on what's been going on in my life.

RECRUITMENT 2009 is in full swing. We have 211 PNM's as of yesterday! The Recruitment Team is doing a fantastic job. I have been busy, which, I am the happiest when I am busy, but it has been a little too quiet without my advisor, Carrie, my GA Dena, and my fill in advisor Kristina, not being in the office with me through-out the summer. My advisor, Carrie, had her baby boy May 31, 2009 and she named him ,David Michael Youell III, and she is calling him "Trey". Carrie came by the other day, and I got to hold Trey. He is so handsome, and sweet. Carrie and David are very blessed. Dena is in CA, working for Disney for the summer. I know she must be having a blast! Kristina, took a vacation in Spain "Barcelona" with her family. I have been worried about Kristina because her check has not been deposited. I think Cody is picking up another check today from payroll to deposit it for Kristina.

At the Dean of Students Staff Appreciation Luncheon on May 1, 2009, Dean Davis presented me with an award Honoring me for my Dedication to the Panhellenic Affairs Office. It really meant a lot to me.

My family is doing wonderful. I'm so blessed. I thank Jesus for my son, Sam, and my daughter Jill, and her husband Ryan. They are always so encouraging to me. They are my joy in life.

Jill's puppy, Lily, is doing great. Lily got her ears cropped, and her ears are looking great now. Sam is leading the youth Sunday in August. I am very excited for him. I know he will do a wonderful job for the Lord. Jill and Sam are wonderful singers. Jesus has really blessed them tremendously.Sam and Ryan do a wonderful job singing in the men's choir.

The Knoxville Chapter of IAAP in which I am the secretary awarded me with the Professional Member of the Year Award on Monday June 15, 2009. Sam and Jill was there to celebrate with me. Also, Dean Ron Laffitte was there to share in the moment with me. He also said a few words about me which meant so much to me. Megan, my former advisor sent a letter and they read it that night. The letter was very special to me, I cried. Megan was an awesome boss. I know my current advisor would have been there if not for her recovering from having a baby. My current advisor , Carrie, is a wonderful boss. I enjoy working with her very much.

I am looking at houses right now. It's hard to find just the right one, that has the price I can afford, the location I am interested in and the other things I'd like for it to have, but I am confident that Jesus will have one for me and everything will work out for the best.

Mothers Day 2009

I had a wonderful relaxing Mothers Day. We all went to church and then after church my kids took me out to eat at Applebees. I am so very blessed. My children are upstanding christians that love Jesus and live for him every day, not just on Sundays and that is more important to me than anything else in the world. Life would be nothing without Jesus.

May 5, 2009 was Jills 24th Birthday! We had a great time celebrating her Birthday altogether. We went to El Chico Cafe. Jills biggest gift for her birthday was a doberman puppy. She named her puppy Lily. She's so sweet!

Mother's Day Luncheon 2009

Today was my churches Mothers Day Luncheon. It was very nice being there today. The theme of the luncheon was Sweet as Daisies. The luncheon had good conversation, good food and a heart warming speaker. She told about her health problems with a terminal illness and how she has laid it in Gods hands. What an inspiration she is to me.

Today is Friday May 1st!

I'm glad today is Friday! I'm going to see the new X-Men movie tonight. One of my favorite characters is in this one, "Gambit", it should be awesome!
